My parents invited Max and I to go visit my brother, his wife and their twin girls that are 8 months younger than Max, in Folsom, CA. It's a long trip for a short weekend, but worth it to see them. Max actually travels really well. Of course, he doesn't sleep in the car. (He's never been a car sleeper.) That makes a 10 hour car trip even longer, but it's amazing what a portable DVD player can do.
Max loved staying in the hotel. We had a view of the pool and the hot tub from our room, and every time that we went into the room the first thing Max would do was run to the window, and stand on whatever was underneath to get a look at the "hot pool." My favorite was when he told me that the water in the pool was going to "freak out."

During the weekend, we also went swimming, played at the play place at the mall, and ate at the Cheesecake Factory. Max loved seeing his cousins. We had a great time. In fact, he wore himself out so that he finally fell asleep in the car on the way home for about an hour and a half! It was a miracle!
