So over Memorial Day, our little Bean family took an overnight road trip with my parents, sister and brother-in-law and their 2 boys. We went to Baker City, Oregon, ate at the train restaurant, swam at the pool at the motel and the next day drove to Sumpter to ride the train and spend the day checking out the swap meet. Max loved the train, and was especially patient as we waited forever for our lunch at a tiny local restaurant. We had to deal with rain and crabby kids (Max and his cousin both fell asleep on the train on the way back) but over all it was a fun time and definitely worth the 2 hour car trip.
