We're at the doctor's office last Monday, and Max is once again showing off his musical abilities by singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and right in the middle of it, he lets out these 2 huge burps. Naturally, he didn't miss a beat and just kept right on singing. The pediatrician and I are both laughing, but of course it didn't prevent us from clapping and praising him as soon as he was done. He's always so proud of himself! If he doesn't have a future in music, maybe he could make a living sharing his musical "talents" as a stand-up comedian. (Please refer to the previous Musical Beans blog for more on those talents.)
For those of you who are interested in this sort of thing, here are his stats from his visit: He was 23 1/2 pounds (which is in the 5th percentile of 2 year olds), 33 1/2 inches tall (25th percentile) and his head is in the 50th percentile. So he's a little 2 year old toddler with an average sized head. More than that, though, is that the pediatrician is so happy with the progress Max has made. He's come a long way since his early and rough beginning.
Today at Max's speech therapy, I asked the therapist if Max was smart. I said I thought so, but as his mother I can hardly be objective. She said that he really is a smart boy. Of course, she sees kids all day long who have speech problems, so how objective can she really be? Nevertheless, I am taking it as a validation that Max really is smart, and he's so dang cute too. So he's got brains and good looks. Look out world, there's an awesome 2 year old on the loose!

His stats are identical to what Gwen's were at 2. 5/25/50. Of course, Gwen is a female version, so she was 22 lbs and 32 inches tall. Do you know the theory that if you double their height at age two, that will be their adult height?
I tagged you on my blog. Now it's your turn!
